This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Alaska Region, Office of Environment (OE), Environmental Sciences Management Section in Anchorage, AK.  The OE provides environmental stewardship by implementing the Environmental Analysis program to analyze and/or conduct research on environmental resources in Alaska.  The OE applies the best available scientific information when preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents and other environmental documents under relevant environmental laws and to support information decision making.

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out fact finding and scientific analysis in order to complete a range of projects based on the uniqueness of the Alaska location.                             

This is a permanent, full-time, career/career conditional appointment.
