We are seeking a Science Associate with a strong environmental science background in topic areas such as biology, ecology, marine science, chemistry, or hydrology. The successful candidate will support our dynamic, cross-disciplinary work on topics such as natural resource damage assessment, habitat restoration, and site remediation.
Associates design and implement major analyses, interpret and communicate results, and recommend modifications to achieve project objectives. Associates often coordinate Research Analysts' tasks, interact with clients, and track task progress. Their work requires a high degree of initiative and creativity.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to speak and write effectively are required, as is familiarity with quantitative analytic methods applicable to the candidate’s field of study. Preferred skills include statistical analysis, GIS, and proficiency with advanced Excel, including model development. Prior work organizing and analyzing complex datasets or conducting analyses related to enforcement of environmental laws is beneficial.
