Responsibilities

As a Fishery Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
• Collaborate with interagency team to oversee the strategic direction and implementation of monitoring and reporting programs necessary for collection of quality data in North Pacific Fisheries and provide oversight of annual review of catch and vessel monitoring plans, onboard inspections, and video to ensure compliance with fisheries regulations.
• Provide presentations and respond to inquiries from fishery constituents regarding monitoring and electronic reporting requirements to ensure compliance with operational requirements and fisheries regulations.
• Develop written outreach materials and guidance related to management of fisheries off Alaska, recordkeeping and reporting, fishery policies, issues, and regulations.
• Prepare environmental data analysis, evaluate industry reported data for quality control, and compile data summaries that are complete, accurate, and comply with applicable Federal laws, Executive Orders, and agency guidance.
