The Federal Campaign Manager will oversee NOPC’s federal campaigns, including a campaign focused on the implementation of a national policy goal of protecting 30 percent of the U.S. ocean by 2030 (“30X30”). The Federal Campaign Manager must have strong organizational skills, be able to function in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment, be team-oriented, and have good interpersonal skills. Additionally, the Federal Campaign Manager must demonstrate racial and cultural awareness and a commitment to justice, equity and inclusion, with experience working with Tribal Nations, Black, Indigenous and communities of color and groups of varying political affiliations.
Working in coordination with the Executive Director, staff, and NOPC’s coalition members and partners, the Federal Campaign Manager will coordinate and manage NOPC’s communications, legislative outreach, political advocacy, and science efforts related to the 30X30 campaign. The Federal Campaign Manager will also collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement a fundraising operation and to create and manage the campaign budget.
This is a full-time, exempt position and reports directly to the NOPC Executive Director. This position is preferably based in Washington, DC. Please note that due to COVID-19, RLF offices are closed, and we remain a fully remote organization until further notice. Ability to travel, as needed, when RLF business travel resumes.
