As an Education and Outreach Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
- Manage the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) Bay Watershed Education and Training Program in the Chesapeake Bay region
- Develop curriculum and trainings for the education community based on current NOAA Fisheries research and management topics.
- Utilize professional education work to promote, coordinate, and improve education policies, programs, standards, activities and opportunities in accordance with Fisheries policies and objectives.
- Plan and coordinate with partners including the Fisheries Educational Council (FEC), the NOAA Office of Education Bay Watershed Education & Training (B-WET) Program and the Chesapeake Bay Program Education Workgroup to carry out the Environmental Literacy Goal and Outcomes of the Chesapeake Bay Agreement.
