Are you headed to Oakland for the Society for Conservation Biology’s North America Congress in July 2012? Join the EBM Tools Network for “Tools for Planning for Climate Change in Coastal and Marine Ecosystems”

This symposium (to be held Tuesday, 17 July, from 11 am to 1 pm PDT) will highlight multi-sectoral tools and approaches for assessing and reducing the vulnerability of coastal ecosystems and infrastructure to climate change. We will start with an overview of the Climate Adaptation Knowledge Exchange (CAKE; www.cakex.org), an online information source and community for climate change adaptation, and an overview and analysis of currently available tools for climate change planning from the EBM Tools Network (www.ebmtoolsdatabase.org/resource/climate-change-tools-matrix).
