IMBIZO5 will follow the proven format of three concurrent but interacting workshops, with joint plenary and poster sessions. To optimize interactions, each workshop will be limited to 40 participants, selected on the relevance of the submitted abstracts (so you must submit an abstract to be considered).
The plenary keynote presenters are: Eddie Allison (University of Washington), Mary Ann Moran (University of Georgia) and André Punt (University of Washington)
The themes of the workshops and the conveners are :
- Critical constraints on future projections of marine systems (Laurent Bopp & Eric Galbraith)
- Metabolic diversity and evolution in marine biogeochemical cycling and ocean ecosystem processes (Gerhard Herndl & Tatiana Rynearson)
- Management Strategy Evaluation: Achieving transparency in natural resource management by quantitatively bridging social and natural science uncertainties (Cisco Werner & Ingrid van Putten)
Bonus hands-on INFOGRAPHICS training workshop the day before the IMBIZO!
