NMFS Soliciting Information to Potentially Delist Hawaiian Population of Green Turtles (Chelonia mydas)

The US National Marine Fisheries Service is announcing a 90-day finding on a petition to 1) identify the Hawaiian population of the green turtle (Chelonia mydas) as a Distinct Population Segment (DPS), and 2) delist the DPS under the Endangered Species Act.

Scientific and commercial information pertinent to the petitioned action and the global DPS review must be received by October 1, 2012.
